Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. Yael's early career has allowed her to meet and work with the best Australian storytellers. Yael's professional career is thriving and thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new residence when Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with critical acclaim, became the place she now calls New York City. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors through it's Bushwick studio.
