Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater arena with Li'lAbner's in 1957. In 1957, she also released her debut music album entitled It's time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim as well as Louise won her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's pupil. She was able to land her next notable role when CBS appointed her as Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful performance juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamour doll image she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years, she has made a name for herself as the director of numerous popular television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family she was born into moved away from Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her childhood and adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and she has been there from then on.
